(A) A photograph was taken after Bacillus subtilis
ATCC6633 was overlaid on Bennett's agar medium. 6 nmol(ca. 10 micro
g) of goadsporin was absorbed in a paper disc and strain TP-A0593 was incubated
4 days. The inhibition zone was observed near the paper disc and was depended
on amounts of diffused goadsporin. (B) A photograph of the paper disc diffusion
assay against B. subtilis . Paper discs contained the culture
broth of strain TP-A0593 cultivated for 8 days in the presence of 18 nM
goadsporin (left) or in its absence (right). Inhibition zone was
observed around the paper disc containing the broth cultured in the presence
of goadsporin (left).
