2. Creation of an innovative and internationally competitive
regional research center, participating in large research projects,
and so on;
3. Promotion of excellent and creative talents of researchers;
4. Acceptance of trainees for technical education.
Organization
Researchers and staff include a director, an adviser, all staff of the Department of Biotechnology and some selected staff of all of the departments. Additionally, researchers from Toyama Prefectural research institutes, and external research laboratories, and so on, may collaborate.
*The functions of the "Biotechnology Center"
of Toyama Prefecture (1992-2005) and the former Biotechnology
Research Center (1992-2005) were integrated into the new Biotechnology
