The goals that we aim to achieve in Biotechnology Research Center are as follows:
1. Basic and applied research concerning biotechnology ;
2. Creation of an innovative and internationally competitive regional research center, participating in large research projects, and so on;
3. Promotion of excellent and creative talents of researchers;
4. Acceptance of trainees for technical education.

Organization
Researchers and staff include a director, an adviser, all staff of the Department of Biotechnology and some selected staff of all of the departments. Additionally, researchers from Toyama Prefectural research institutes, and external research laboratories, and so on, may collaborate.

*The functions of the "Biotechnology Center" of Toyama Prefecture (1992-2005) and the former Biotechnology Research Center (1992-2005) were integrated into the new Biotechnology Research Center in April 2006.
International Exchange

The University welcomes international students who wish to study in any of its programs. It also invites teachers and researchers from overseas who can work with its faculty and enrich its educational and research projects. The research resulting from such exchange has been and will be reported at international conferences for academic and industrial advancement.
