Since FY 2007, the Department of Mechanical Systems Engineering (MSE) has offered a new graduate program for advanced, environmentally conscious mechanical design and manufacturing, supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
The program consists of the following subprograms:

・LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) education program,
・Internships at environmentally-leading companies,
・Eco-lectures on current environmental issues,
・Obligatory subjects on the fundamentals of mechanical engineering,
・Renewal of the TA (Teaching Assistant) system and establishment of RA (Research Assistant) and tutor systems,
・Financial support for attending academic meetings,
・Follow-up education program for English communication skills. |
